HELP! I Need Some Advice...

My beautiful Piglets, I need some advice please. I've never had a problem with losing weight, for reals. If I restricted enough, the weight would fall off... I mean. Okay, if I maintained a calorie intake of less than 1000, it would come off, sometimes faster than others. But at the moment, I'm not losing at all. I've hovered around 65.0 - 65.3 for two weeks. And granted there have been a couple of binges in between - but this week after 7 successive days of restricting, not a single ounce has come off. I haven't been unrealistic about what I've been eating - my intakes have been accurate and probably over-estimated.

QUESTION: What the fuck should I do to try and get my metabolism going again?

These are some of the things that I've considered:
  • Go for a short run to get my metabolism into gear and try burn a few more calories (I hate exercise, this would probably be my absolute last resort)
  • Juice fast for a few days (I also hate doing this)
  • Intermittent fasting, i.e. fast one day, eat the next
  • Give up carbs altogether (this is a bit hard being vegan, carbs are pretty much all I've got)
  • Fruit fast (I may try this tbh)
  • Liquid diet - soup, juice, coke
  • Keep restricting and vary my intake by 300 each day (900; 600; 300; 900; 600; 300)
I have never had this problem before, I've never not been able to lose weight by restricting only. If something has worked for you please share. If something else hasn't please share.

HELP GUYS I AM LOST, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!

Peace & Love

i'm very good with this. having have lost quite a bit of my own weight, i can tell you what to do.
1) exercising, for me, creates a good enough deficit that even if i eat back calories and net the same amount as i would've been eating - i get to lose more than usual. say i normally eat 1000, burn off 200, i can eat 1200 and lose more despite giving the same net.
2) fuck juice fasting, woman. remember the epic days we both spent fasting, and then eating everything in sight? i do. baaaaad.
3) intermittent fasting may work, but it may make your diet harder and more likely to binge. it worked for me, but i got very annoyed with it and ended up eating far too much just because.
4) giving up carbohydrates, increase your fat - aim for keto. that will definitely work. i tried to be a keto vegan. i ate a lot of peanut butter/nuts, etc. Quorn sausages in oil, etc. it's harder to restrict with this though. i ate 2500 calories worth of mostly fat, and lost weight.
5) fruit fasting - i don't know how well this works. i recommend this though as i remember you doing it before. i'd offer you to try a mono with this method. i know this sounds strange but might as well give it a shot. eat one kind of fruit per day basically. might accelerate your results. welcome to the world of mono dieting that way. hey, if you're going to fruit fast and there's a chance monoing on only one kind of fruit might accelerate your results, i'd say go for it. x
6) i've done a few days of a liquid-sort of diet (soups mostly but they had pieces in them). i did a full on clear liquid diet yesterday (dropped a lot of weight). i'm hoping that it'll shrink my stomach. i've lost nearly 5lbs in 3 days. take into account that includes binge weight though.
7) the last one i don't like. it could work but i'd hate it.

i LOVE fruit fasts, you dont get dizzy because you keep up blood sugar, there are less calories and more fibre in the fruit than in the fruit juice alternatives, you can mix it up because there are so many fruits about, maybe include raw veg just incase you want something savoury, like carrots or whatever. i recommend it, i lost a lot eating just fruit and raw veg without really restricting how much i was allowed. its fab to do because you can munch and not feel hungry, have energy to keep functioning and not pass out xxx

I was in the same boat as you.

What helped me finally break through my plateau (and made dieting easier) was setting WEEKLY calorie limits, rather than focusing on a daily limit. It meant that if I accidently overindulged on one day, I compensated by eating much less the next day. Essentially it's calorie cycling. I love it and it doesn't make me feel deprived. It also helps me "save up" my calories if I know I am going to be doing something special like going out for dinner or going to a party. For me, my weekly limit is 7,000 calories (averaging 1,000 per day). Some days I will eat 500, some days 1000, some days 1500...just as long as it works out to 7,000 total.

I'm having the exact same problem right now and have no idea why I'm not losing weight, as I have been exercising and restricting and drinking lots of water. It seems that a fruit fast or calorie cycling would be the best options, although the latter has not helped me. Good luck with whatever you pick :)

Ugh! I hate to say it but eat more. It's the worse solution ever but sometimes it's the only way. If you gain on 800 cals your metabolism is probably not doing too well. I hope you can find some other solution though.
